About me

I’m Mary, the founder of Smooth Ink Studios. I’m a three-times certified, award-winning paramedical tattoo artist, but more importantly, I come to this work with lived experience, heart, and intention.
With a background in travel, sales, and learning & development, and my own personal journey with scar camouflage, I felt called to create a space where healing goes deeper than skin level. At Smooth Ink Studios, we offer thoughtful, transformative treatments for scars, stretch marks, skin imperfections, and hair regrowth — always led by care, education, and respect for your body.

ISR Inkless Stretch Mark & Scar Revision

This treatment focuses on restoring and repairing the skin rather than covering it. A medical-grade serum is gently applied to improve texture, tone, and elasticity, helping scars and stretch marks look softer and healthier. Ideal for raised, uneven, or textured skin, it’s often the first step in a personalised plan — letting your skin heal and strengthen naturally before any colour work.!

Scar Camouflaging

For smooth, flat scars and stretch marks, Nue Conceal uses specially matched pigments and the unique Nue device to gently blend the area into your surrounding skin. While scars aren’t erased, they can be softened and concealed. Often the final step in a personalised treatment plan, this approach supports your skin at every stage for natural, lasting results.

Saline Tattoo Removal

Saline tattoo removal is a method used to extract tattoo pigment from the skin using a saline solution (salt and purified water). Unlike traditional tattooing, this process pulls ink out instead of putting it in.

Nue Strand

Unlike traditional services that charge by the hour or a flat rate, our treatments are typically priced based on the area being treated—factoring in the size, type, and complexity of the scar or stretch mark.
For Nue Strand treatments, pricing is primarily determined by the size of the area.

Because every individual and every scar or stretch mark is different, we strongly encourage consultations. This allows us to create a customised treatment plan tailored to your specific goals and expectations.

The smoothest my skin has been since childhood for sure! I visited Smooth Ink Studios for deep acne scarring, hoping to even out some texture and reverse some damage.
It has only been a couple of weeks but already I have significant results. My skin is the happiest and most hydrated it has been in a long time and the softness and glow is unreal.
Results can take up to 8 weeks, but at just two I see a significant improvement to the texture of my face with a large amount of the pitting and bumps having disappeared.
The quality of service is also incredible. Mary takes so much care ensuring you feel safe and supported with her and she has my full trust. Her precision and attention to technique and sterility made the process relaxing and rewarding.
For someone in their 20s looking for the way to move past teen acne, I genuinely recommend smooth ink studios as a fantastic solution.

Mary has been working with my Mum recently as she has been experiencing some hair loss which has left her feeling low and like she’s losing her identity. Before commencing with the Nu Strand Hair Growth, Mary took the time to find out more about Mum’s specific situation and also explain the procedure and what it entails, with no pressure to progress if we chose not to. Mum did go ahead and Mary has been wonderful. She’s super knowledgeable, gentle and caring and makes sure the treatment level is correct for each stage. Mum was a bit apprehensive before seeing Mary but after only 2 sessions, she is thrilled to be seeing results and is already feeling better about herself. I had my first treatment with Mary two weeks ago and honestly… where has she been all my life? From the moment I walked in, she welcomed me so warmly, she’s one of those beautiful souls you instantly want to be best friends with.

Her studio is absolutely spotless and super hygienic, which made me feel comfortable straight away. I had the Regen treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, which works by stimulating collagen production over time to soften lines naturally.

I’m now 14 days post-treatment and I’m already seeing the first results. The fine lines around my nose and mouth have noticeably softened, my pores look smaller, and my skin feels incredibly smooth with the most gorgeous glow. ✨

My forehead scaring has had incredible results since working with Mary. In Jan 2025 I had a forehead reduction surgery and the scaring was quite deep and noticeable. After just ONE treatment already I saw incredible results and how much it actually healed and lifted the skin.
I highly recommend this woman and her work over anything I have seen as she treats to heal not just conceal which is a much more holistic and long lasting approach.
She is amazing and has taken absolute care of me and my results on my forehead scaring. She explains everything so well so you can understand exactly the process and treatment, she is the most considerate and welcoming woman you can feel so at ease and at home when seeing her.

I have had multiple treatments with the beautiful Mary now and can wholeheartedly say that I am always treated like royalty. Mary is kind, caring, welcoming and considerate. Her space is always clean and hygienic. The atmosphere created is perfect for anyone a little nervous. Mary will make all your nerves melt away. And then there’s the RESULTS!!
